In celebration of Asian Heritage month in May, Fiesta Asia & Dance Asia jointly presents “Maskquerade: Moving Tradition Forward” – a dance showcase of mystery & enchantment featuring Asian mask cultures. It is the kickoff event to our Signature Celebration – Fiesta Asia Street Fair happening on Saturday May 18th in front of the Capitol Hill.

Hosted by Athenaeum, this presentation will feature works that explore the influence and charisma of masks across the different regional cultures. The jovial, the forbidden, the divine, the sanguine, masks are significant elements in many folk and traditional ceremonies, rituals & traditions and are often of an ancient origin. Witness the vivacity of movement and partake in the dance!

Each performance featured has tremendous passion and love for the art of movement and their heritage. Through sharing of experiences & experimental sessions, the dancers are able to bring new concepts to life resulting to an intensely exciting show.

This unique and intimate showcase is  scheduled for Thursday May 2nd at 7:00 p.m. There is limited seating capacity. Please reserve your seats right away!
